UK investment bank seeks a junior Operations Analyst. The Asset Servicing function of the Operations department is responsible for the following:
- Processing UK & International Corporate Actions, Dividends and Coupons
- Maintaining and updating the dividend/coupon records
- Identifying and settling market claims for dividends and coupons
- Review event detail from numerous internal and external sources
- Undertake daily cash and stock reconciliations
Key Responsibilities:
- Have an understanding of the regulatory environment, and values and abilities consistent with the FCA conduct rules.
- Communicate directly with counterparties and clients as required.
- Efficiently monitor and resolve internal and external cash and stock discrepancies.
- Escalate any issues immediately.
- Proactively look for improvements around process, control and efficiencies.
Minimum of 1-2 Years relevant experience:
- Good understanding of global dividend events for equities.
- Good understanding of entitlement to interest payments for bonds.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas & to escalate problems to the appropriate level of responsibility.
- A self-starter, able to act independently on own initiative as & when required.
