We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join a growing business in Farnham, Surrey, in a newly created position reporting into the Head of HR. This is a hybrid role working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week from home.
This role has been created to develop strategy around professional development, future skills planning, career pathways and leadership coaching, as well as to oversee mandatory training activities.
This role has 3 direct reports; two Learning & Development Advisors and a Training Co-ordinator. Being a new position there is great scope for someone to make a mark and really effect change for the better within the organisation.
Responsibilities include;
- Oversee the day to day operations of the L&D team, with direct line management responsibilities
- Create and implement an L&D strategy across mandatory training requirements, professional development and talent development / coaching
- Talent mapping / analysis of current and future skills needs, making recommendations to fill potential gaps
- Collaborate closely with managers and employees to identify critical internal talent and implement processes to ensure the engagement, retention and development of these key individuals
- Reviewing professional development policies and engagement strategy to increase retention
- Managing the L&D budget, reviewing use of suppliers and making recommendations for potential new partners, working closely with all third parties to track outcomes and learning effectiveness
