Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a great company based in the Horsham, West Sussex area. This is an office based Health & Safety advisory role, working closely with the H&S Manager, maintaining practical, compliant safe systems, carrying out risk assessments, inspections and investigations.
Due to the rural location, own transport is required.
Hours: 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday
Health & Safety Advisor duties:
- Conduct and develop new risk assessments
- Assist in the development of the risk control systems
- Carry out and review fire risk assessments for simple buildings and events
- Complete and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments
- Maintain H&S records and performance data (e.g., inspections, actions, training, incidents)
- Manage the day to day running of the online accident and incident reporting and recording system
Proven experience working in a similar Health & Safety Advisor type role ideally within the Engineering or Manufacturing sector. Experience conducting risk assessments, COSHH assessments, inspections and incident investigations with clear written reporting. Experience delivering H&S inductions, toolbox talks and practical training to mixed workforces (factory and office).
