Morgan McKinley is partnering with a fast growing global business based in Cheltenham, to recruit a Group Financial Accountant.
The Role
Working within the Group Finance function, this is an important role which will support the development of a robust financial control infrastructure across the Group, facilitating appropriate financial management and ensuring statutory compliance.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Working across the Group to support the delivery of the Group's financial results
- Act as the Group's key IFRS technical accounting expert
- Preparation of VAT returns for the UK
- Supporting the Group audit process
- Working with the consolidation system to support the production of year-end financial statements
- Assessment and documentation of assumptions used in valuation processes across the Group
The Person
The successful candidate will likely be currently working in practice and looking for a first move into an exciting role in industry. You will require strong technical accounting skills and ideally some experience with IFRS (not essential). You must also possess excellent collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and internationally with colleagues across the business.
