Role overview
We are supporting a large UK-based healthcare and interoperability programme delivered by a major technology consultancy for a private healthcare provider. The programme is centred around the adoption of FHIR R4 to enable consistent, governed data exchange and downstream integration.
We are seeking a Senior FHIR Healthcare Data Consultant to play a pivotal role in owning and driving the adoption of FHIR standards across the organisation. The focus is on FHIR standards ownership, implementation guide development, and enabling delivery teams through clear and consistent use of FHIR.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve FHIR R4 Implementation Guides
- Author and maintain:
- FHIR profiles
- Extensions
- ValueSets and CodeSystems
- Terminologies
- Example FHIR resources
- Auto-generated documentation and definition pipelines
- Supporting scripts and configuration (e.g. VS Code-based workflows)
Required experience
- Strong, hands-on experience with FHIR R4
- Proven experience authoring and maintaining:
- FHIR profiles and extensions
- Implementation Guides
