Indirect Tax Manager – Global Organisation | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary + Bonus

Are you a driven Indirect Tax professional looking to step into a strategic, high-impact role? We're working with a West Sussex based, leading multinational business seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to join their growing tax team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple jurisdictions, advising the business on VAT, customs, and indirect tax matters. You'll play a key role in shaping tax processes, improving compliance, and influencing commercial decisions.

This a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity with the view for the role to go permanent.

The Role:

As Indirect Tax Manager, you will:

  • Lead on VAT and indirect tax compliance and advisory across EMEA and/or global regions
  • Collaborate with finance, supply chain, customs, and external advisors
  • Oversee indirect tax reporting and ensure process improvements through automation or systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Manage audits, risk reviews, and liaise with tax authorities
  • Designing workflows for system implementation
  • Provide strategic insight into indirect tax planning, restructuring, and business initiatives
  • Support implementation of new tax regulations and digital reporting requirements
  • Train and mentor junior tax team members
  • Multi site experience will be required
  • Supporting on large projects across the business

✅ About You:

  • Qualified accountant and/or tax advisor (ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent)
  • Solid experience in indirect tax, ideally from a Big 4 firm or multinational in-house team
  • Strong technical VAT knowledge with exposure to customs, excise, or environmental taxes
  • EU VAT and Intrastats experience is essential
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, commercial mindset
  • Able to demonstrate a collaborative and methodical approach

Location & Benefits:

  • Salary – £90,000 – £100,000
  • Hybrid working (3 days in the West Sussex based office but with candidates able to apply flexibility to this due to business needs)
