Employee Communications Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver employee communications that bring business strategy to life.
- Use data and insight to help leaders understand employee sentiment and communicate authentically.
- Translate complex, technical, or strategic content into simple, clear, and engaging stories.
- Design and deliver impactful communications across multiple channels (including intranet, social platforms, and events).
- Play a critical role in supporting cultural initiatives, organisational change programmes, and leadership visibility.
- Contribute to crisis and issues management with a focus on employee engagement.
- Either lead a small team or take a senior individual contributor role on key projects, depending on the position.
Experience required of Employee Communications AVP
- Minimum 3 years experience in employee/internal communications, ideally within a large, complex organisation in financial services or professional services
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging content.
- Strong ability to use insight and data to shape communication strategies.
- Experience creating and curating content across a range of channels (MS365 experience a plus).
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and execution skills – able to work at pace under tight deadlines.
- A collaborative, creative, and solutions-focused mindset.
