ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Senior Manager Operations role is responsible for supporting the efficient, well-controlled and scalable operation of the GAS UK Host AR/AIFM business. The role holder will bring strong UK Host AR/AIFM experience and help ensure operational processes, systems and controls are fit for purpose, aligned to regulatory requirements and consistent with industry best practice. The role will drive operational efficiency through the identification and implementation of process improvements, greater use of technology and stronger operational oversight. It will support the maintenance of an effective control environment and help ensure the business continues to meet all applicable regulatory obligations and internal standards. The role holder will work collaboratively across the business, lead and support colleagues where required, and contribute to the maintenance of Group standards, culture and values in line with the firms expectations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • OPERATIONS & RISK
    • Support strong operational governance in accordance with UK regulatory requirements, internal policies and the Group’s overall strategic objectives.
    • Maintain effective operational controls, procedures and oversight across the GAS UK Host AR/AIFM business.
    • Ensure business continuity plans and supporting actions are maintained, tested where required and embedded within day-to-day operations.
    • Work collaboratively with Risk & Compliance and other relevant stakeholders to support an appropriate risk and compliance framework and culture.
    • Monitor operational practices to help ensure the business remains aligned with applicable regulatory requirements and recognised best practice.
  • OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
    • Work with Group Operations and relevant internal stakeholders to optimise, digitise, automate and standardise operational processes wherever appropriate.
    • Help ensure an effective operational framework and appropriate oversight exists across key business activities.
    • Leverage technology and management information to improve efficiency, control, scalability and reporting.
    • Coordinate with other Group AIFM businesses, where relevant, to support the development and maintenance of consistent operational standards.
  • BUSINESS STRATEGY
    • Support the Director and wider leadership team in maintaining strong cost management, operational controls and business processes that support a sustainable operating model.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of operational plans, KPIs, resourcing approaches and service improvements for the GAS UK Host AR/AIFM business.
  • COMMERCIAL / FINANCIAL
    • Deliver and support initiatives to improve operational and business performance.
    • Support effective resource planning and management in line with agreed budgets and business needs.
    • Monitor operational outputs and service delivery metrics to help drive efficiency, quality and consistency.
  • CLIENT DEVELOPMENT & RETENTION
    • Support high-quality and consistent operational delivery for clients of the GAS UK Host AR/AIFM business.
    • Ensure the smooth operational onboarding of new clients, including appropriate setup on internal systems and coordination of relevant internal processes.
    • Work closely with internal teams to maintain service quality, timely issue resolution and a strong client experience from an operational perspective.
  • PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
    • Support the development, coaching and mentoring of team members in accordance with Group standards and policies.
    • Help build operational capability within the team, including training, knowledge sharing and embedding best practice.
    • Support recruitment and onboarding activity where required.
