I am partnering with a dynamic, multi-site business to find a versatile IT Support & Data Systems Analyst. This is a unique "hybrid" role created for a technical professional who enjoys the variety of hands-on IT support but has a specialised passion for Data Architecture and Power BI. My client is currently optimising their digital infrastructure. You will be the "bridge" between their physical warehouse operations and their high-level financial reporting, ensuring that data flows seamlessly from the stockroom to the boardroom.
Data Engineering & Business Intelligence
- Build, maintain, and evolve Power BI reports for finance, operations, and senior management.
Data Flow Management
- Pull and shape data from on-prem SQL, Azure SQL, and Cloud resources to ensure one "source of truth."
Financial Automation
- Work directly with the Finance Director to automate complex processes like revenue reconciliation, margin analysis, and settlement reporting.
Integration Management
- Support the digital links between the ERP, Warehouse Management (WMS), and E-commerce platforms.
API Troubleshooting
- Assist with API-based integrations, managing data mapping and resolving connectivity issues.
Identify manual "bottlenecks" and suggest automated fixes to improve data quality across the supply chain.
Technical Troubleshooting
- Provide 1st/2nd line support for both office-based teams and warehouse staff.
The Technical Toolkit
- You must have solid hands-on IT support experience combined with strong Power BI skills (DAX, data modelling, and visualisation).
SQL Expertise
- Real-world experience with Microsoft SQL Server is an essential requirement for this role.
Business Acumen
- You are comfortable working with financial data and can translate "finance speak" (e.g., remittances, invoices, reconciliations) into technical requirements.
Mobility
- You are happy to travel between the Central London office and the Northamptonshire distribution centre from time to time.
Months 0–2: Deep dive into the ERP data model and take ownership of existing finance reporting.
Months 3–5: Deliver "quick win" automations for carrier invoices and marketplace settlements to reduce manual finance workloads.
Month 6+: Document all data flows and system integrations to prepare the business for future ERP transformation projects.
Career Growth:
- Leave: 25 days holiday (increasing with service) + your Birthday off.
- Monthly staff lunches, a well-being/counselling program, and a generous friends/family discount scheme.
- A permanent position within a business that values technical innovation and professional development.
