Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering exclusively with Bristol Bears Rugby Club to recruit a Financial Accountant. Based at the Bristol Bears High Performance Centre and reporting into the Head of Finance, this is a key role and a fantastic opportunity, which will require you to partner with key stakeholders to provide insights that support performance and development opportunities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of month-end close processes (including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and balance-sheet reconciliations)
- Oversee monthly payroll and P11d processes
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Ownership and production of monthly management reporting packs (including variance analysis vs budget)
- Day to day accounting operations such as expenses, AR, Credit Control and bank reconciliations
- Prepare VAT returns and monthly VAT reconciliations
- Full ownership of Bristol Bears Women finance operations
To be considered for this role you will need to have a strong background in financial accounting, reporting and control, and a proactive and analytical mindset. You might be recently or nearly Qualified as an Accountant or possibly QBE, but you must be comfortable in the detail and also confident to business partner and drive opportunities for continuous improvement. Experience of closing month, preparing accounts and budgeting / forecasting are essential.
