Morgan McKinley is currently partnering with a fast-growing, award-winning SME north of Bath, to recruit a Head of Finance.
The Role
- This is a highly pivotal and influential role in a business with a £8mln turnover.
- My client is looking for a commercially minded finance leader with strong SME experience and high EQ to work in a fast-paced, owner-managed culture.
- Reporting into the Managing Director, responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Oversee financial control, planning, reporting and revenue model management
- Develop strategy, support decision-making, and deliver financial stability and profitable growth
- Provide day-to-day financial and strategic advice to SLT and owners
- Leadership of a small finance team
- Stakeholder management and strategic influence
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Financial analysis and ROI to support capital investment decisions and capex planning
- Additional responsibility for People & Culture, Sustainability & B Corp, IT & digital transformation
The Person
- The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic graduate Qualified Accountant with hands-on finance leadership experience gained in SMEs, and strong skills in systems and process improvement.
- You will be capable of managing nuanced founder relationships, with the ability to advise and influence at board level.
- Experience of dealing with international contracts and businesses with multi-year project revenue models is desirable but not essential.
