Job Description
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, The accountant will have wide responsibilities as part of our small Finance team, You'll get a broad perspective of the company's business and make a significant contribution to our financial reporting.
This is a 20-25 hour role over a period of 4/5 days. Fully Remote role, must be within 2hrs of London.

Base Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable β Preparing sales invoices and ensuring prompt payment by customers, for this you'll work closely with our Financial Controller and the Account Management team. Our business is very high value, low volume, so this is a small but extremely important part of the role.
- Accounts Payable β checking purchase invoices against contracts, reviewing, entering on Xero, obtaining manager sign off where necessary
- We are paperless environment and we employ a high level of workflow automation (integrating online tools through Google Mail and Xero) β the transaction work is more about ensuring care, control and value in our purchasing and reporting functions than it is about simply processing lots of entries
- Preparing payment runs for sign off by the Financial Controller and CFO
- Checking & authorising staff expenses for payment
- Maintaining the Fixed Assets register
- Performing daily bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
- Assisting with
- VAT returns
- Payroll
- Audit (creating supporting schedules etc.)
- Corporation Tax returns
- Other reasonable duties as required to support the Finance & People department

A more skilled and experienced candidate may additionally be able to take responsibility for further accounting duties, such as:
- Nominal Ledger journals
- Prepayments and Accruals
- Deferred Revenue calculations
