Project Overview: As a Strategic Comms Planner, you will be part of the Strategic Planning & Insight team within the organisation. You will focus on developing scalable pitch materials that power our industry team's sales activities with customers across all our advertising solutions.
Overall Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have a proven track record in producing winning pitches in a media agency environment. You will be able to demonstrate strong use of insight to create a strategy that translates into deliverable media recommendations. Finally, the candidate will be a talented storyteller; possessing the ability to create structured and compelling pitches that lead with insight, anchor on objectives, and package products as solutions.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategy, production, training, and delivery of pitch material aligned to your assigned sector.
- Evangelise comms planning and pitching best practices across teams and work with your sector Leadership team to embed these behaviours in the team.
- Partner with cross functional specialists including analytics, design, measurement, sponsorships, creative, etc. to bring cross-product solutions to your clients.
- Create and/or feed into existing sector specific business plans, aligning with senior leads to execute with operational excellence.
- Drive sales through a targeted list of customers; work alongside specialist sales managers and Industry Managers to pitch directly to our biggest opportunities.
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Business Director / Client Director level Comms Planning experience within a media agency environment.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience working with major brands and advanced level of experience in brand marketing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the digital media landscape including formats, buy types, and strategies across the sales funnel.
- Complex problem solver & experience in leadership with the ability to work through ambiguity with your team.
