Requirements
- 5-7 years of dedicated experience implementing, supporting, and developing complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 network architectures.
- Proven experience leading and performing new network installations and physical and logical kit builds.
- Deep technical proficiency configuring and supporting Cisco Nexus switching frameworks and Aruba Wi‑Fi environments.
- Solid understanding of network load balancing mechanisms and coordination of third‑party penetration testing.
- Strong secondary expertise in cyber security, including administering Palo Alto firewalls and their next‑generation service suites.
- Experience using Qualys Vulnerability Management tools and endpoint detection and remediation software.
- Experience working within SOX compliance frameworks and fast‑paced data environments.
- Project examples demonstrating hands‑on leadership in network or security kit deployments.
- Evidence of the scope of hardware and software deployments personally executed.
- Examples of technical challenges overcome during installation or build phases.
- Examples of tangible security, performance, and business improvements delivered through technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration, assembly, installation, and deployment of new network and security hardware.
- Maintain detailed and accurate engineering documentation.
- Own, optimise, and scale our Layer 2 and Layer 3 network environment.
- Manage Cisco Nexus routing, LAN and WAN frameworks, wireless networks, B2B links, and network load balancing solutions.
- Spearhead mid‑ to large‑scale infrastructure initiatives from inception through completion.
- Ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Demonstrate the business value of our technical decisions across deployments.
- Oversee next‑generation Palo Alto firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and data encryption protocols.
- Monitor SIEM platforms and threat feeds to identify, investigate, isolate, and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Partner with internal technical teams and coordinate with external vendor partners.
- Coach and advise team members to support continuous improvement.
