We are partnering with a leading UK professional services firm to recruit a Senior Credit Controller to join their team ideally on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a key role offering the opportunity to combine hands-on working capital management with team leadership, playing a central part in supporting financial performance and delivering an excellent client experience.
The Role
- Take ownership of working capital across key practice areas and client portfolios, while also supporting and developing junior team members.
- Manage WIP, debt and overall working capital for assigned departments and clients.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to drive billing and cash collection performance.
- Lead regular review meetings on complex or high-value matters.
- Act as a subject matter expert on revenue control and billing queries.
- Oversee monthly billing cycles and ensure timely cash collection.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, including discounts and write-offs.
- Identify and drive process improvements across billing and revenue management.
- Line manage and develop Revenue Controllers and/or Billing Assistants.
- Act as an escalation point for complex or sensitive client issues.
