Morgan McKinley is partnering exclusively with a fast growing business based in North Somerset, to recruit a Management Accountant. My client is an ambitious, acquisitive SME in the Manufacturing sector, and they are currently undergoing a merger and an exciting period of growth and development.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will focus on ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, strong financial governance and controls, and the development of robust financial processes to support business growth. You will be responsible for helping to deliver timely, accurate insights, ensuring compliance and supporting strategic decision-making across the Group.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Own the group consolidation and month-end close process across multiple entities
- Statutory reporting
- Responsibility for stock reporting and analysis
- Maintain a robust cash management process
- Ownership of the fixed asset register and balance sheet reconciliations
- Drive continuous improvement across systems and processes
- Help support the transition of AP and Credit Control into group functions, ensuring standardisation of processes
The Person
To be considered for this role you will need to be a collaborative and positive Qualified Accountant ideally with experience of working in Manufacturing / Engineering / Construction. Experience and exposure to stock and inventory are both highly desirable, and experience of working in a high growth, multi-entity / multi-site environment would be an advantage. Experience of systems and process transformation, and use of Xero and/or Sage 200 desirable.
