Morgan McKinley is partnering exclusively with a fast growing Insurance business to recruit a Management Accountant. This role will be fully remote and reporting directly to the CFO, in a lean and high performing finance function. Being based in the South of the UK would be beneficial as there will be a very occasional requirement to attend the office.
Responsibilities
- The role will be varied, including routine month end work and then two weeks of more project based work, looking at driving efficiencies and automations.
- Day-to-day management accounting of the Group's entities, including management accounts preparation and reporting.
- Support across a wide range of projects.
- Management reporting and financial control.
- Support the quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Lead month-end journal preparation across all group entities.
- Help to define processes for accounting management and financial reporting, through leveraging technology and AI.
- Monitoring daily cash flow.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial close journals and reconciliation.
- Supporting the annual statutory audits for all legal entities.
The Person
- The successful candidate will ideally be a Qualified Accountant with strong management accounting skills and experience of working in the Insurance industry essential.
- You must possess strong Excel skills (VLookup / Pivots), and have the confidence and experience to design new repeatable processes and do things your own way.
- You will need a hands-on approach and great attention to detail, and the confidence to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
