We are delighted to be working exclusively on a Part-time Management Accountant role with Bristol Zoological Society, due to a period of transformation & exciting growth. The finance department plays a critical role in ensuring strong financial control, regulatory compliance and the delivery of accurate, timely information to support organisational planning and performance. As a Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting a high-profile transformation programme, contributing to initiatives designed to drive growth, enhance visitor experience and expand conservation and educational activity. Your work will make a genuine impact.
What will you be doing?
- Produce accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support decision-making
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Partner with budget holders, offering clear guidance and financial support
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
What are we looking for?
- Experience in a Management Accountant/commercial accountant role, ideally within the not-for-profit sector (desirable)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
- Competent with Excel and the ability to adapt to new financial systems
- Part-qualified or qualified Accountant preferred, but QBE will be experienced
