Interim Technical Accountant
Location: Bristol

We are seeking an experienced Technical Accounting professional to support the business through a key period of growth and change, including the delivery of their audit.
The role will have a strong focus on acquisition accounting, consolidation and FRS 102, working closely with the wider finance team as well as external auditors and lenders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support technical accounting activities across the Group
- Drive the audit, ensuring robust preparation and delivery
- Provide expertise across acquisition accounting and consolidation
- Ensure appropriate application of FRS 102
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors
- Work confidently with lenders and other financial stakeholders
- Support the business through complex accounting and reporting requirements
- Provide practical, hands‑on input to the wider finance function
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong technical accounting experience, ideally gained in a complex or acquisitive environment
- Proven experience with Group consolidations and acquisition accounting
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102
- Experience working directly with auditors and lenders
- Must be a qualified accountant
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to operate at senior stakeholder level
- A hands‑on, pragmatic approach and the ability to make an immediate impact
- Availability to start at short notice
