Reporting to the Senior Control Manager, the key purpose of this role is to help ensure that the Group has a fully documented, monitored and scalable control framework. This role will include line management and supervision of two junior analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support planning and readiness for the UK Corporate Governance Code changes impacting controls by supporting the build of the roadmap to FY27 and feeding into the systems roadmap to evaluate proposed changes from a controls lens.
- Assessing the Group’s overall nance control framework, ensuring that it is robust and fit for purpose, both now and to support the Group on the next phase of its growth by collaborating with various departments to understand and document their processes. Then recommend and assist with improvements and controls that need to be implemented.
- Design attestations around manual controls, and complete reporting for circulation on a monthly basis.
- Maintain Finance Incident Reporting and track remediation actions to report to the CFO on a monthly basis. Ensure timely intervention on items that are unremediated/at risk of repeat.
- Ownership of Balance Sheet controls including collecting Balance Sheet reconciliations, the Balance Sheet analytical review process to ensure movements are understood and the secondary management review process of significant Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Work closely with Internal Audit to ensure alignment between the 2 functions and to share respective expertise and business knowledge. Follow up from each internal audit report to ensure corrective action is designed and implemented.
