Morgan McKinley is partnering with a global business with an excellent reputation to recruit a Finance Manager - Group Stock & Margin.
The Role
This is a key role in a high performing team, requiring you to lead the transformation and improvement of stock and margin accounting.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support and mentor one direct report
- Maintain financial control and accurate valuation of global stock
- Financial control of margin movements, including materials price and usage variances, labour variances, overhead absorption and stock revaluation
- Responsible for the control and reporting of global gross margin, including profit in stock
- Support the development of the Group inventory policy
- Deliver monthly reporting explaining gross margin relative to budget, forecast and prior year
- Work with other Finance team members to set budgets and forecasts
- Drive continuous improvement in how stakeholders control the movement of high value stock
The Person
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience of working in Retail or Manufacturing. Stock and Margin accounting experience, and solid costings knowledge are key requirements for the role, and you will need a demonstrable track record of delivering improvements and of working collaboratively with key stakeholders.
Hybrid working is on offer, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days p/w.
