Morgan McKinley is partnering exclusively with a well established and successful Bristol based business with a turnover of £80mln, to recruit a Head of Financial Reporting. The role offers a salary up to £85k + a 20% bonus and a flexible, hybrid working arrangement, requiring attendance at the Bristol office once or twice a fortnight.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO and leading a small team, this role will be responsible for Financial Reporting and overseeing governance around risk and financial controls. This role offers clear career progression within the business, so you will be ambitious to progress your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Group financial reporting and audit for UK and overseas entities (nine entities globally)
- Accounting for three pension funds
- Ownership of annual statutory accounts
- Production of month end balance sheet reporting
- Business partnering with Exec Team
- Provide technical leadership on accounting, assurance and financial control matters.
- Leadership and development of team of three
- Management of group insurance arrangements
- Improve financial controls and drive process improvements for Financial Reporting
The Person
You will be a fully qualified accountant with PQE gained in industry in similar complex / international groups, and you will have a passion for looking at processes with an improvement mindset. Your technical accounting knowledge and experience of planning and leading audits will be strong, and Management Accounting experience is also highly desirable, as the role will evolve over time.
