This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their management accounting experience within a fast-growing and values-led organisation. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, the role offers a blend of month-end accounting, reporting, analysis, and business partnering responsibilities, alongside hybrid working and strong long-term progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Support with accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyse financial performance and investigate variances
- Support cashflow reporting and financial planning
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Produce financial reports and KPI analysis for senior stakeholders
- Support process improvement initiatives across the finance function
- Liaise with operational teams across the business to provide financial support and insight
- Assist with audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience within an Assistant Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant role
- Strong understanding of month-end processes
- AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA (preferred)
- Confident Excel skills and good systems experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Able to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach
