A well-established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a technically strong financial accountant to join its finance team on an interim period of 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in ensuring robust financial reporting, compliance and governance.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of key reporting activities, year-end processes and audit management, while helping to drive continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in line with IFRS.
  • Lead the year-end statutory reporting process and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
  • Manage the annual audit, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers and provide guidance on IFRS compliance and accounting treatments.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external advisors where required.
  • Review and strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
  • Assist with balance sheet reviews, reconciliations and month-end close activities.
  • Support tax compliance and wider financial governance requirements.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and technical expertise.
  • Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
About You
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven IFRS reporting experience.
  • Previous experience managing year-end processes and external audits.
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a complex operational environment would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Confident communicator, capable of working with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Proactive, hands-on and solutions focused.
