Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are proud to be representing a private equity-backed business based in Wellingborough, who are looking to appoint an Internal Sales Representative to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, commercially minded sales professional to join a fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and supporting the external sales team to maximise performance across your designated area.
As an Internal Sales Representative, you will take ownership of customer accounts, proactively identify new opportunities, manage quotations through to conversion, and deliver outstanding customer service at every stage of the sales process. You will also work closely with external sales colleagues to ensure a joined‑up, high‑performing approach to account development and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the external sales team to maximise sales opportunities within your allocated area
- Proactively generate new business and follow up on quotations to drive conversion into orders
- Manage inbound and outbound customer communication, delivering excellent service at all times
- Raise and manage quotation opportunities using internal CRM systems
- Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Provide accurate product information, pricing, lead times, and technical support to customers
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of all activity using CRM systems (Salesforce experience advantageous)
- Support sales targets and KPI achievement through consistent outbound activity
About You
- Experience in internal sales, account management, or a customer‑facing sales role (essential)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence customers
- Confident in managing quotations and following up to close sales
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, target-driven, and motivated by sales performance
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, KPI‑driven environment
- CRM experience (Salesforce or similar) desirable
