Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties is partnering with an established accounting firm based in Corby to find a skilled Assistant Management Accountant. Role In this position, you will be responsible for producing management information for a portfolio of clients, working closely with the Team Manager to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Key Responsibilities: · Preparation of accurate and timely periodic management reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, performance analysis, cashflow forecasts, and budget analysis. · Reviewing financial data and completing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data validity and accuracy. · Supporting the development of budgets and forecasts, ensuring up-to-date and high-quality information is available to clients. · Providing financial expertise to team members to support accurate production of financial data. · Communicating with clients about their business performance, offering financial insights and explanations from management accounting packs, cashflow forecasts, and other reports. · Providing ad-hoc reports, data, and insights to clients, enabling informed business decisions. · Supporting the year-end process by reviewing data and providing relevant information to the compliance team and external auditors. · Building and nurturing strong client relationships. Ideal Candidate Profile: · Ability to manage multiple client accounts with potentially conflicting deadlines. · Ability to read and interpret profit & loss and balance sheet reports. · Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. · Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software. · AAT qualified, studying for ACCA, CIMA, or qualified by experience. · Strong Microsoft Excel skills. · Experience using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Jet Reports, Cosmos, Power BI).
