Morgan McKinley are supporting a PE Backed international education business in London seeking an immediately available Accounts Payable Officer to join on an ongoing interim contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join a fast-growing organisation that values innovation and service excellence.
This role is paying £150 - £200 a day doe with hybrid working available.
Key Responsibilities- Handle the full AP cycle, including processing invoices, intercompany transactions, and employee expense claims.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc payments via e-banking platforms, including multi-currency transactions.
- Post payment and FX clearing journals, assist with monthly closings, bank reconciliations, and AP balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders through dedicated mailboxes and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Suggest and implement new technologies to streamline AP procedures and assist in enhancing departmental policies.
- Maintain vendor master data and provide essential support to both internal and external audit teams.
- 5+ years of experience within an Accounts Payable or Receivables function.
- Strong working experience in Excel.
- Proven experience with Business Central (Navision/NAV) accounting systems and e-banking platforms is essential for this role.
- Solid knowledge of accounting procedures, controls, intercompany transactions, and cash optimisation.
- Holding or studying toward an accounting qualification is preferred.
- Exceptional ability to share specialist knowledge and build sustainable relationships across regional and central teams.
