Morgan McKinley is partnered with a leading PE-backed education group for a hands-on Reporting Manager to strengthen its finance function during a period of rapid growth and transformation. This role will suit a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) who enjoys taking ownership of monthly reporting, building FP&A capability, and producing insight that drives commercial and strategic decisions. This role is a temp to perm opportunity paying up to £75,000 per annum with hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly management reporting, delivering accurate and timely group-level results.
  • Own balance-sheet reconciliations, cash-flow forecasting and board-pack production for senior leadership and investors.
  • Partner with the Finance Director and CFO to enhance budgeting, forecasting and FP&A frameworks across the business.
  • Drive process improvement through strong Excel and ERP skills (ideally NetSuite or similar system).
  • Support ongoing private equity reporting requirements, providing clear performance insight and variance analysis.
  • Manage month-end close, ensuring robust controls and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to strengthen financial understanding across the organisation.

What You'll Bring

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Proven experience in a PE-backed or investor-owned environment.
  • Strong background in FP&A, management reporting and board-pack preparation.
  • Proficiency with Excel (advanced) and ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP or Dynamics.
  • Sound understanding of balance sheets, cash flow and consolidated reporting.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Immediately available or on short notice, with the flexibility for a temp-to-perm transition.
