About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to support an Accounts Payable team on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent. This position plays a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring purchase invoices and orders are processed accurately and efficiently in line with business requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Accounts Payable team with the processing of purchase orders (circa 2,000+ per month)
- Working closely with the wider finance team to provide day-to-day support
- Resolving issues and disputes relating to purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Corresponding with suppliers and internal stakeholders professionally and promptly, escalating issues where required
- Supporting the management team to ensure best practice and smooth operation of iDocuments and SAP systems
- Undertaking additional duties as required to support the needs of the business
What We're Looking For
- A reliable and proactive individual with previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role
- A strong team player who can work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to multitask
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach with a positive, can-do attitude
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or finance role (essential)
- Experience working within a finance team (essential)
- Knowledge of accounting software; SAP Business One experience would be advantageous
- Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Qualifications & Education:
- Preferably a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English
