A leading and highly regarded mid-tier accountancy firm is looking to appoint an OMB Tax Manager to join its growing and collaborative team. Ranked within the UK Top 40, the firm advises a broad and entrepreneurial client base from owner-managed businesses and fast-growth companies to high-net-worth individuals and international groups. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware tax professional who enjoys a genuinely mixed compliance and advisory role. The position offers significant exposure to share schemes and EIS work, with scope to take ownership of client relationships while supporting and developing junior team members.
The Role
You will work closely with partners and senior colleagues across a varied portfolio, delivering high-quality advice and ensuring compliance obligations are met. Compliance forms the foundation of the advisory work, and you will be involved in both.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing share scheme annual reporting (ERS and EMI40 returns)
- Advising on the implementation and ongoing management of tax-advantaged share schemes, including qualifying status reviews, option planning for employees/consultants, valuations and compliance filings
- Supporting advisory and compliance work across income tax, capital gains tax and corporation tax
- Assisting with Enterprise Investment Scheme matters
