We are working with a Northamptonshire-based organisation seeking an experienced Interim Group Finance Controller for an immediate start. This is a senior, high-impact role reporting directly to the CFO with responsibility for leading and managing a large, multi-layered finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the CFO, acting as a key member of the senior finance leadership team
  • Lead, manage, and develop a large group finance function, ensuring high performance and clear accountability
  • Oversee group financial control, reporting, and consolidation across multiple entities
  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Lead statutory reporting and manage relationships with external auditors
  • Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and compliance across the group
  • Provide high-quality financial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders
  • Drive process improvement, transformation, and systems enhancement initiatives
Candidate Profile
  • ACA qualified, Top 4 trained
  • Proven experience managing large finance teams in a complex group environment
  • Strong technical accounting, reporting, and consolidation expertise
  • Confident operating at senior leadership level and influencing key stakeholders
  • Hands-on, delivery-focused, and able to start immediately
  • Experience in fast-paced or change-led environments preferred
