You will join a collaborative team providing essential financial insight, ensuring robust controls, and helping drive confident decision-making. Expect a healthy blend of ownership, technical challenge and day-to-day operational involvement.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting month-end close and preparing detailed Management Information
- Leading accruals, prepayments and reconciliations to support accurate management accounts
- Assisting in the year-end process, statutory audit and preparation of draft statutory accounts
- Preparing journals and maintaining core ledgers
- Overseeing daily payment processes and supporting treasury management
- Producing analysis, investigating variances and creating clear, insightful reports
- Helping train and support junior team members
- Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accurate posting, invoice authorisation and timely supplier payments
- Managing credit control activity
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and ensuring correct accounting for additions/disposals
- Reviewing monthly payroll outputs from an outsourced provider and handling payroll queries
- Completing corporation tax returns, preparing tax accruals and managing HMRC deadlines
- Supporting the Financial Controller with projects, improvements and general administration
What you will bring:
- Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounts environment
- Strong Excel and system skills
