Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Transport Planner.
Location: Office based - Crawley
Hours: 2pm-10pm Sun-Thurs
Transport Planner duties:
- Ensuring driver team arrive for work on time and arrange cover for absences.
- Correct utilisation of staff and vehicles using the company diary sheet/planner.
- Route all vehicles available generating revenue and solid route plans to ensure that routes are both achievable and vehicles are used to best efficiency.
- Maintaining and updating any amendments throughout the day so the information is live for all to access.
- Handle driver and customer queries.
- Analysing delivery data to ensure the relevant KPIs and revenue targets are achieved on each vehicle.
- Arrange and oversee loading/pre-loading activity to ensure a timely despatch.
Skills and experience:
- Proven Transport or Logistics Planner experience, working in a similar role.
- Excellent operational and customer service skills.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
