Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a great company based in the East Grinstead, West Sussex area. This is a hybrid working Health & Safety Officer role, which will be 2 days office based and will support the work of the Health, Safety and Environment team by providing health and safety advice to the business.
Salary: up to £55K dependent on experience
Location: East Grinstead - Hybrid - 2 days office based. Some travel is required and be a driver.
Hours: 9-5 Monday to Friday
Health & Safety Advisor duties:
- Produce and implement & review HS&E related policies, procedures
- Conduct and develop new risk assessments
- Assist in the development of the risk control systems
- Carry out and review fire risk assessments for simple buildings and events
- Participate in H&S Forum meetings
- Manage the day to day running of the occupational health surveillance programmes
- Maintain the HSE reporting dashboard
- Assist the Facilities Manager in their efforts to manage health, safety and environment
- Manage the day to day running of the online accident and incident reporting and recording system
- Investigate accidents and incidents and gather information from investigations carried out
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience working in a similar Health & Safety / Occupational health and safety role within a large organisation
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Ideally qualified - NEBOSH, National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, with evidence of continuous professional development through IOSH, or their equivalent.
- Competent in providing a professional health and safety advisory service
