An established and growing not-for-profit care organisation is seeking an experienced Category Manager to play a key role in delivering strategic procurement across IT. The Role

  • Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in the Bucks office)
  • Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Working as part of a forward-thinking procurement team, you will partner with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective sourcing strategies across key indirect spend categories.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand medium- and long-term requirements
  • Leading end-to-end procurement activity, including RFI/RFQ processes
  • Developing and managing supplier relationships to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Delivering measurable value and return on investment across third-party spend
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget through effective collaboration
  • Negotiating contracts and managing commercial risk to ensure value for money

About You

You will be an experienced Senior Buyer or Category Manager with strong exposure to IT, Marketing and/or HR categories. You bring a commercially astute mindset and are confident managing complex procurement activity in a fast-paced environment.

Key requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of relevant supplier markets and emerging trends
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage supplier contracts
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess cost, value, and risk
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering against tight deadlines
  • Ideally degree educated and/or CIPS qualified
