Are you an experienced Risk Manager ready to step into a high-impact role shaping strategy and strengthening governance? We are supporting a Local Authority to appoint an interim Risk Manager on a minimum 6 month assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence senior leadership, drive enterprise risk strategy, and embed best practice across a complex organisation.
The Role
- Lead and develop the organisation’s risk management strategy, working closely with senior leaders to ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed, and managed.
- Driving and embedding an enterprise risk management framework (ERM).
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Leading risk identification, analysis, mitigation, and reporting.
- Supporting governance through collaboration with internal audit, finance, and compliance teams.
- Horizon scanning to anticipate emerging risks across political, regulatory, and economic landscapes.
- Championing continuous improvement and service transformation.
