We are seeking an experienced Principal Accountant to join a local authority Finance team, with a key focus on Housing Revenue Account (HRA) finance.
The role will provide strategic financial support across HRA revenue and capital budgets, including budget setting, monitoring, forecasting, financial planning and year end accounts. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and budget holders, providing robust financial advice, analysis and constructive challenge, while supporting housing investment, business planning and key projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong local government/HRA experience, excellent technical accounting and analytical skills, and a proven track record of effective finance business partnering. Experience of HRA business planning, capital programmes and housing investment would be highly advantageous.
