About the client

Morgan Law are seeking an interim Finance Business Partner for a charity in the London area.

Accountabilities

  • To act as business partner including members of the Senior Management Team, academics, and heads of support functions.
  • Provide accurate, reliable, and timely financial information including monthly management accounts, forecast, budget-holder reports and project reporting.
  • Finance business partnering with Fundraising department, including preparation of forecast, budget, providing advice and support to non-finance managers.
  • Build trusted partnerships with the business to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions, promoting business improvements and cost reductions. Communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Help drive critical business actions.
  • Ensure the Head of FP&A is kept informed on the financial position and communicate/advise on the financial implications of future projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, and the ongoing monitoring of actual and forecast financial performance, identifying any deviations and highlighting them to the Head of FP&A.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or similar qualification (qualification by experience would not be considered).
  • Very recent experience working for a large not for profit organisation/charity.
  • Recent experience working as a Finance Business Partner for Fundraising.
  • Significant knowledge and experience of running or participating in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Sound experience and knowledge of management reporting best practice including variance analysis and non-financial metrics.
  • Significant experience of developing financial models and analyse them to support strategic initiatives.
  • Sound experience in managing and manipulating data from various databases.
  • Experience in the implementation of new financial and reporting system.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
