About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Interim Employee Relations Manager to support an Essex based team for 6 months (this role is going to be part of the permanent establishment in the new year so you will have the chance to apply for it should you wish)
This is a pivotal role within the organisation, where you will lead on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes across the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of ER Advisors
Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
Lead and manage cases that progress to employment tribunals
Partner with managers and senior leaders to build capability in handling ER matters effectively.
Support on TUPE projects
About You
To be considered you MUST have::
Proven experience in managing employee relations within the public sector , with a strong understanding of its unique challenges and frameworks.
Demonstrable experience of managing cases through to employment tribunal hearings .
In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Strong leadership
TUPE experience
The role is hybrid with 2-3 days being on site in Essex
