Interim Data Engineer to start ASAP until end of March 2027 outside of IR35 for a Public Sector client.
You will have to have had extensive Data Engineer experience obtained in the Public Sector to apply.
Based in London, Hybrid working 2-3 days onsite.
£400-£425 a day outside of IR35
The Data Engineer will:
- Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations within the agreed architecture.
- Support the ingestion, transformation, cleaning and linking of datasets identified through the data collection workstream.
- Support the development and maintenance of APIs and other data integrations.
- Support the management and maintenance of the data platform and associated services.
- Support Power BI data connections, datasets and refresh processes.
- Implement appropriate security, access controls and technical processes.
- Identify and resolve technical and data-quality issues.
- Provide practical technical input to the Data Architect and wider team.
- Contribute to testing, documentation and continuous improvement of the data platform.
Essential Experience
- Building or supporting data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Working with relational databases and SQL.
- Working with data from multiple sources and formats.
- Working with cloud-based data platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Python: core data science libraries such as numPy, pandas/polar
