I am urgently seeking an experienced Interim People Advisor for a further education organisation based in South-West London for a period of 6 months. The role will pay a salary in the range of £38,703 to £40,194 per year depending upon experience. This is a full-time role which will be based on-site 5 days per week, potentially with some flexibility later for 1 day working remotely.
Reporting to a people partner, your role will involve:
- Supporting the People Partner on a number of areas but with a focus on Employee Relations
- Providing guidance on People matters including performance management, absence management, and employee relations
- Assisting in resolving staff queries and concerns, working with managers to ensure fair and consistent HR practices
- Supporting the Assistant Director in managing employee relations cases, ensuring issues are handled in line with their standards
- Serving as the first point of contact for People-related queries from staff, offering advice in line with employment law and HR best practices
- Assisting in identifying training needs and supporting in coordinating learning and development activities for staff
Essential knowledge, skills and experience include:
- At least 2 years' experience in a human resources or employee relations role at a similar level
- Experience in managing large volumes of employee relations cases
- Strong understanding of HR practices, including employee relations, discipline and grievance, performance management, and absence management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills, and ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including safeguarding, GDPR, and equality and diversity laws
- Understanding of the importance of Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding in education
