My Local Government client is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join its Adult Social Care team on a permanent basis. Working as part of a growing team, your role will include:
- Work with Budget Managers to assist with costing and help identify and confirm areas of potential pressures and saving.
- Anticipate and identify financial issues affecting the business, help managers to ensure net expenditure is within budget, escalate any business issues not resolved by Service Managers.
- Contribute to regular monthly meetings with business area to challenge and scrutinise monitoring figures.
- Undertake service analysis to support the year-end position and the Accounts.
- Work with the Commercial and Strategic Finance Teams to produce robust financial and commercial analysis as required including for business cases.
- Contribute to financial modelling of new services or changes to existing services, work with business area and/or third parties to enhance financial and business performance.
To be considered for the role you will either be a fully qualified or part qualified accountant with experience in local government or public sector finance. Experience in adult social care finance would also be desirable. The role is being offered on a permanent basis with 2 days a week in the office. The salary range for the role is Β£41,873 to Β£47,238.
