My local government client is looking to recruit a Principal Accountant, with a focus on Treasury and Tax, on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Chief Accountant, your role will include being the strategic and professional lead for treasury and Taxation support and advice. You will also manage all aspects of tax planning, borrowing, VAT and cash reporting and compliance across the Council. In addition to this you will play a key role in the provision of advice on all VAT and other taxation issues.
To be considered for the role you will need to be a qualified accountant with the following experience:
- VAT and Taxation knowledge
- Experience of analysing a multi-dimensional financial picture, alongside relevant tax legislation
- Cash flow management experience
- Local Government experience
The role is being offered on a permanent basis with 2 to 3 days a week in the Wiltshire office. The salary range is £47,000 to £51,000.
