A General Manager, Surgery and Anaesthetics is required on a NHS 8b Fixed Term Contract for 6 months. Salary in the region of £68k - £79k. Based in the South East of England. Candidates will need to have a demonstrable track record of operational management at an 8b level within Surgery and Anaesthetics to be considered.
Key duties of the General Manager, Surgery and Anaesthetics include:
- The General Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership and management of the Surgery and Anaesthetics area, supporting the Division's overall strategy and objectives and providing support to the Director of Operations for Surgery.
- In conjunction with the Clinical Director / Service Leads, work closely with clinicians, managers and support teams to ensure that their Division is providing optimum quality of care in line with national healthcare standards.
- Support the relevant Clinical Director / Service Lead, Matrons / Heads of Department to ensure each department within surgery has clearly defined performance objectives that are consistent with and support the performance requirements of the Division.
- Ensure the continued implementation of effective reporting arrangements within the Surgery management team to accurately record and monitor performance against local and national targets.
