You will establish a modern, data-led contract management function with strong governance and performance monitoring. You’ll lead major procurement activities and build influential relationships with elected members, service providers and communities. This role offers autonomy to shape contract governance, drive value for money and create meaningful community impact. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li hybrid working /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead strategic management and performance of high-value contracts in greenspace, leisure, culture and sports /li li Develop and implement robust contract management and quality assurance frameworks /li li Create KPI, SLA and performance monitoring systems to support continuous improvement /li li Drive value for money, efficiency and social value outcomes across the portfolio /li li Lead major procurement exercises and contract renewals in a public sector context /li li Build partnerships with contractors, stakeholders, community groups and service users /li li Produce and present reports to senior stakeholders and governance boards /li li Oversee contract mobilisation, implementation and transition activities /li li Manage budgets for large-scale contracted services /li li Recruit, develop and lead two Contract Monitoring Officer positions /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experience managing high-value contracts in local authority or similar complex public sector environment /li li Proven track record establishing or improving contract management frameworks and governance processes /li li Strong procurement and commissioning experience, including leading tenders /li li Excellent stakeholder management and communication, engaging senior leaders, elected members, suppliers and communities /li li Experience managing budgets and delivering value-for-money outcomes /li li Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into improvements /li li Previous line management experience or willingness to develop and lead teams /li /ul ul li stakeholder management /li li communication /li li leadership /li li contract governance frameworks /li li performance monitoring and KPI/SLA design /li li value-for-money delivery /li /ul
