My Local Government client are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced interim to cover a key role in the Housing finance team. Working as the Interim Finance Business Partner for HRA & Housing, your role will be working on meaningful projects and workstreams across the Directorate. From major transformation programmes such as in Temporary Accommodation, through to delivering a core capital programme, you'll gain valuable experience across a diverse and evolving portfolio.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, your role will be at the heart of the housing directorate and will be focused on providing clear financial advice to the senior management team as well as members.

To be considered for the role you will need to be a forward-thinking finance leader who is motivated by public service and excited by complex challenges and driving improvement. You will be a fully CCAB-qualified professional with post-qualification experience and a strong commitment to ongoing development.

You will bring experience of providing financial leadership, assurance and influence within a large, complex organisation and have a clear background and understanding of local government finance in a Housing setting, including of the Housing Revenue Account. You will also have a proven track record of working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, including executive leaders, directors and elected members, of building trust through clear, insightful advice.

The role is being offered initially for a period of 6 months with a day rate of £750 (Inside IR35). The working pattern is hybrid with circa 1 day a week in the office.
