We are looking for a confident and experienced Interim Employee Relations Consultant to work with a well-known non-profit organisation based in London and provide specialist support on a range of ER matters. In this role, you will take ownership of complex cases, ensuring each is handled with fairness, consistency, and professionalism.
You will bring expert HR and ER knowledge to help managers navigate challenging situations while maintaining a positive employee experience. Responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end ER casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance issues, complaints, and policy breaches.
- Conducting investigations, interviewing parties, and reviewing evidence to produce clear, balanced, and timely outcomes.
- Coaching and advising managers on best practice, procedural compliance, and approaches to resolution.
- Ensuring all cases are managed in line with employment law, internal policy, and organisational values.
- Identifying risk areas or recurring themes and recommending improvements to ER processes and policies.
- Maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and impartiality throughout all case handling.
You will be someone who can quickly build trust and deliver high-quality ER support in a fast-paced environment. You bring:
- Strong HR background (CIPD-qualified or equivalent experience).
- Significant experience managing complex Employee Relations cases.
- Excellent interviewing, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to interpret evidence, make sound judgements, and advise confidently.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to challenge constructively.
- A calm, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach.
Hybrid working of 2 days a week in the London based offices, rest of the week WFH.
