We are currently partnering with one of our European packaging clients to support their search for a Sales Director (UK), who will play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding the company’s footprint in the UK market. Our client is a well-established family-owned packaging manufacturer, known for its high-quality products, technical expertise, and strong commitment to customer service and sustainability. Following a successful period of international growth, they are now seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial sales leader to drive commercial development in the UK, a strategically important region for the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the UK commercial strategy to drive sales growth in packaging solutions.
- Leverage existing networks within the UK food and consumer goods sectors to generate immediate business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular client visits and a consultative sales approach.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities, securing sustainable and profitable growth.
- Collaborate closely with the European leadership team to ensure alignment on pricing, service, and product strategy.
- Act as the voice of the UK market, providing insights on customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging trends.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to enhance market visibility and credibility.
- 5–10 years’ experience in sales or business development within packaging materials (open to flexible, rigid, paper packaging-carton board, corrugated etc).
- Proven track record of B2B sales success in the UK food packaging market.
- Established network of decision-makers and customers within the packaging industry.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously and deliver measurable growth.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
- UK-based with flexibility to travel regularly for client meetings.
