Your Mission: Make the Move into Fully Retained Executive Search
You've spent years working your way up the value chain. You know how to win business, manage relationships and deliver at a senior level. Maybe you've pitched for retained before, maybe you've even won it. But you're still operating in an agency that is primarily contingent and you're ready for something different. This is that opportunity.
Who We Are
Morgan Latif is a retained, B Corp certified executive search firm and one of the first search firms globally to earn that certification. Over 90% of our work is retained, we hold a 9/10 NPS from both candidates and clients and we've grown 40% year-on-year from our London HQ. H1 26 has just closed at 104% of target and 42% up year-on-year. June 2026 was the single best month in our history this is a business with serious momentum.
Why This Role, Why Now
We're growing fast and we're doing it differently. Whilst much of the industry is contracting and competitors are pulling back, Morgan Latif is expanding and we're deliberately looking beyond the traditional executive search candidate pool to do it.
If you've built a strong network in one of our core sectors, understand what senior clients need and are ready to operate in a fully retained, collaborative model, we want to talk to you. This isn't a lone-wolf, eat-what-you-kill environment. It's a team-based, process-driven practice where you focus on client relationships and business development, supported by a dedicated delivery team who own search execution behind you. For someone making the move from a contingent 360 or BD role, that support structure changes everything.
The Role
You will be a client-facing consultant focused on winning and growing retained mandates across our core sectors: Packaging, Chemicals, Industrial Technology, Consumer and MedTech.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Winning Retained Mandates: Converting your existing network and new prospects into retained partnerships at C-suite and C-1 level across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and General Management functions
- Growing Client Accounts: Expanding relationships across new functions, geographies and business units to build long-term, multi-hire partnerships
- Leading Pitches: Designing and delivering compelling retained search proposals, we will equip you with the tools, frameworks and support to make this transition confidently
- Leveraging the ML Platform: Tapping into an established client base across EMEA and the Americas, giving you warm ground to build from day one
Once a mandate is secured, our experienced candidate-facing consultants and commercial operations team take over search execution, allowing you to stay focused on the client relationship and the next opportunity.
The Ramp-Up
We know this is a transition and we've built the support around that. During your ramp-up period you'll be London-based and in the office a minimum of three days a week, working closely with our leadership team, including direct access to one of Morgan Latif's founders, to build your retained pipeline with the right structure and backing behind you.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years in a 360 or pure Business Development recruitment role within an agency environment
- A strong track record of working high up the value chain in a contingency or direct hire environment and some exposure to retained or project-based mandates
- A network you're proud of within one or more of our core sectors or functional areas
- Experience of pitching for retained business and a genuine desire to make the full transition
- The commercial mindset, resilience and ownership mentality to thrive in a high-expectation, high-autonomy environment
- London-based or willing to relocate, with the ability to commit to a minimum of three days a week in the office during ramp-up
Why Join?
- Earn Like an Owner: A strong commission structure with full OTE transparency, additional annual bonuses tied to company and NPS performance and an equity pathway for top performers
- The Right Support to Make the Transition: Dedicated candidate delivery teams behind you, proven pitch frameworks and direct mentorship from founding leadership
- Be Part of a Firm That's Going Places: Join a high-growth, founder-led business with real influence over how your practice develops and a clear path to seniority
- A Life, Not Just a Job: Unlimited Annual Leave, wellness benefits and comprehensive private medical insurance
- Global Team: A collaborative, diverse team of 40+ consultants across London, Leeds and Austin, spanning 17 nationalities and 21 languages
Location: London — Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office during your ramp-up period.
