About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail‑driven Junior Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance Team within a leading UK law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in legal finance, gaining hands‑on experience in a supportive and professional environment.
About You
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial processes.
- Eager to learn and develop within a legal finance environment.
- A good communicator, both in person and by email.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office—especially Outlook and Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Process client account receipts accurately and promptly.
- Handle client and office account payments in line with SRA Accounts Rules.
- Assist with allocating funds to the correct matters and ledgers.
- Manage card payments received via telephone or online portals.
- Post property searches, indemnity insurance, and other disbursements to the system.
- Assist with daily banking tasks, including cheque processing.
- Support with posting bills and transferring money on account.
- Maintain accurate digital and paper records.
Accounts Support
- Provide general support to the Finance Team, including filing, scanning, and document management.
- Support colleagues during periods of leave or high workload.
